An Hour Before the Devil Fell is the fourth episode of the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga and the tenth overall episode of the show.

Synopsis[]

A pub night in town is interrupted by alarming news about Beatrix, sending the students into a dangerous confrontation with a mysterious Blood Witch.

Plot[]

After Beatrix was attacked by the Scrapers, as it turns out, she has been missing for three days. Andreas wants to offer up another fairy, but Rosalind tells him that is exactly why she didn’t want him to form a connection with the girls. Regardless, Andreas attacks Marco as it’s a case of “you or her”. Whilst Bloom still thinks Rosalind is shady, she’s glad to have them on their side. Since Silva is back, he returns to his former duty, and it’s as though he never left.

Rosalind tells Bloom that the time has to be right before she can go for the Blood Witches. Despite Bloom’s eagerness, Rosalind says that she can’t risk Bloom coming to harm. As Rosalind tells Bloom that Beatrix was taken, and there’s likely a blood witch within the school, Andreas takes Marco close to the river.

Despite the danger at hand, Bloom, Riven, Musa, and more go out for drinks. Andreas turns on who he believes to be a blood witch in an attempt to rescue Beatrix. But it isn’t. Instead, he is soon under the power of blood witches. With everyone unaware of what is going on, drinks are flowing, and Dane desperately tries to make Riven jealous. When Stella worries over Beatrix’s wellbeing, a drunk Bloom tells her that Beatrix has been kidnapped. Sure enough, word gets around, and everyone decides that they must try and rescue Beatrix. It then dawns on Bloom that no one has seen Aisha.

Eventually, Bloom points out how Stella isn't willing to attempt to help Beatrix, and it is then that Stella reveals the device that her mother had placed on her.

When Sky, Musa, and Riven track Beatrix down, they find Andreas but soon realize that they have walked directly into a trap as it is not the normal Andreas they have stumbled across. Silva helps the gang all get to safety. Bloom, Terra, and Flora realize that it must be someone close to them that has set up the trap. Bloom then figures out that the person behind it all is none other than Sebastian.

When Bloom confronts Sebastian, he doesn’t even deny it. Despite Bloom’s belief that blood magic won’t work against her, Sebastian reveals he has been making some alterations. He isn’t taken aback by Bloom’s magic. Instead, it is Bloom who is caught off-guard when Sebastian reveals he knows all about her parents.

Back at Alfea College, Flora accuses Terra of being jealous of her when she succeeds. With that opinion out in the open, both of them question why they are friends.

Bloom returns to campus and tells Rosalind about Sebastian. Beatrix wakes up with Stella by her side to tell her what has happened.

Despite their earlier tension, Terra and Flora make up and decide that they will support each other. But Terra does reveal that she believes that the reason she picks shitty guys is that she is gay.

When Sky returns, he reveals that Sebastian’s power was too much, and he had no choice but to kill Andreas.

Shockingly, Riven carries a blood-soaked and unconscious Musa.
