Fate: The Winx Saga Wiki

No, this is actually my dad's book. Well, it was, before he died.

The Blood Witch Book is a text written in an ancient language which contains information on magic. It originally belonged to Sebastian Valtor's father, a Blood Witch from Aster Dell, before it ended up in the Royal Archives of Solaria.

Overview[]

The Blood Witch Book is a thick tome with a brown cover inscribed in ancient symbols. It has two metallic clasps to fasten the book when not in use. The Blood Witch Book contains yellowed pages on which passages of magical information is written in a language only known to Blood Witches. However, a text known as A Study of Ancient Languages is also able to translate the contents of the Blood Witch Book.[1]

The most notable passages in the Blood Witch Book are those pertaining to Scrapers,[2] including information on how they are summoned[1] and how to restore the magic of a fairy drained by one.[3]

Background[]

Sebastian Valtor's father was a collector of Blood Witch relics and was the original owner of the Blood Witch Book before he was killed in the destruction of Aster Dell.[3] Following this event, the Blood Witch Book came into the possession of the Royal Archive of Solaria.[2]

In 2021, Rosalind Hale asked a member of the Solarian royal family - Arthur - to borrow the Blood Witch Book from the Royal Archives in order to investigate the mystery behind two fairies who were found catatonic in Blackbridge after going missing. Using the Blood Witch Book, Rosalind was able to deduce the fairies were attacked by Scrapers from the Realm of Darkness, creatures that feed on magic.[2]

Fate: The Winx Saga[]

Season 2[]

Rosalind continued using the Blood Witch Book to study a Scraper she had captured after it attacked Devin, a Mind Fairy and student at Alfea College.[4] Bloom Peters later found the book while snooping in Rosalind's office, taking pictures of the page about Scrapers and several other pages in the Blood Witch Book. She quickly returned it to desk drawer she found it in when Rosalind returned to her office.[1]
