Bloom Peters is a deceased character from Fate: The Winx Saga. She is the biological daughter of Mike and Vanessa Peters who was switched with Bloom shortly after birth.

Birth and Death[]
The biological daughter of Mike and Vanessa Peters was born on December 12, 2004. She seemingly died shortly after birth or the following day due to a heart defect present in the womb. Bloom was then left by Rosalind with the Peters family, taking her place and name. Mike and Vanessa were unaware that their biological daughter died shortly after birth until sixteen years later, when Bloom discovers the truth and eventually reveals it to them.

Season 1[]
In Season 1 Episode 1: "To the Waters and the Wild," Aisha has trouble believing that Bloom is from a dormant bloodline of fairies as she was told, based on the power of the magic she was able to draw on without much effort. Aisha asks if there is any way Bloom was adopted, to which Bloom replies "No, I've heard the story of my birth a million times. 'Miracle baby...' I had a heart defect in the womb, but a day after I was born it was gone." From this Aisha surmises that Bloom is a changeling, a fairy baby that is switched with a human one at birth. It was the Peters human baby that had the heart defect, and it "disappeared" because an infant Bloom took that baby's place.
In Season 1 Episode 6: "A Fanatic Heart," Rosalind states that she left Bloom in the First World with Vanessa and Mike because the guidance Bloom needed was love, which no one else could give to her. Bloom is surprised that Rosalind knows the names of her adoptive family, to which Rosalind replies: "I knew they were about to lose a daughter. I gave them a second chance." If Rosalind is to be believed, this indicates that the Peters unnamed biological daughter did not survive her infancy and was replaced with Bloom, rather than being "switched" and placed in the Otherworld, or killed. It is unclear how Rosalind would have known that the baby would not survive, or how she found the Peters family specifically. It is also unknown what happened to the deceased infant after being switched with Bloom.

Bloom returns to Gardenia to tell her adoptive parents the truth. The dialogue is not heard, however the fate of the infant and discovery of Bloom's powers are seen to be tearful revelations. Mike and Vanessa comfort each other while looking through Bloom's baby books, presumably grieving their biological daughter and coming to terms with Bloom's otherworldly gifts. Despite their shock and sadness, they ultimately accept Bloom as their daughter, and the trio hug.
