Poor Unfortunate Souls is the sixth and penultimate episode of the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga and the twelfth and penultimate overall episode of the show.
Synopsis[]
Bloom faces serious consequences after losing control. As conflict looms over all of Solaria, a familiar face returns to Alfea one last time.
Plot[]
With Rosalind dead, Silva appears to take control and warns the Fairies that no one can know that they no longer control the Dragon Flame. To try and keep everyone safe, he puts locks on Bloom to prevent her from “losing control” again. But there’s one little problem. As Rosalind is dead, Queen Luna announces that there is a war on their hands. Meanwhile, Gray meets up with Sebastian. Whereas Bloom worries about what may happen to her if it becomes public knowledge that she killed Rosalind.
The students worry about the possible war. Bloom meets with Queen Luna, and Stella acts as her guidance during the trial. But even when both Stella and Bloom reveal that Rosalind killed Dowling, Queen Luna needs more than just her word. She needs proof. But they’re out of luck as Terra is unable to unearth a body, so Aisha enters the trial to act as a character witness. But despite the “admirable jobs” her friends do in defending her, it’s not enough. Mainly because days prior, Stella had described Bloom as a ticking time bomb, and because of that, Queen Luna believes that the bomb exploded.
As a result, Bloom decides to accept the consequences of her actions. Queen Luna will place her in stasis and be re-evaluated after 20 years. Stella asks her mother whether she ever considered letting Bloom go, to which the answer is a firm no. But it’s not all bad news. Queen Luna does remove the device from Stella’s back as she “plays the game well”. Gray calls Aisha, yet all she has is one question. Is he a blood witch? Although he doesn’t say yes, his response confirms what she already knew. Sebastian twists the knife even further by telling Gray that the fairies have blamed the blood witches for being responsible for Bloom ultimately killing Rosalind.
Flora examines the dead end that she and Terra found at the graveyard. And she realizes that it wasn’t dead at all. In fact, it brings Dowling back to life. It turns out that Dowling was aware that Rosalind was going to kill her, so she had all the nature around her absorb her. Whilst she is still dead, she still has enough time left to help Bloom and her friends. She gives Bloom some much-needed advice. Afterwards, Dowling then goes into the afterlife.
Later, Beatrix visits Sebastian. She cuts the lights, and the creatures come to life.
