Saul Silva is a recurring character from Fate: The Winx Saga. He is portrayed by Robert James-Collier.
He is the Fencing instructor at Alfea.[1]
Biography
Early Life
He trained under Rosalind at Alfea as a Specialist, training to kill the Burned Ones. He was very talented and along with his best friend, Andreas, Farah and Ben, was chosen to help Rosalind at Aster Dell. Once finding out that the village had not been evacuated, Silva tried to warn Farah and Ben, believing his morals were more important than Rosalind's orders. However, Andreas blindly followed and had full faith in Rosalind, leading to a stand-off between the two. In this, Silva proved more skilled and powerful, seemingly killing Andreas, but was too late to warn them, leading to the massacre of Aster Dell.
Feeling guilty about killing his friend, he became a father figure for Sky, telling him about the greatness of his father and training him as best he could.
Season 1
Throughout the season, Silva is shown to be a headmaster at Alfea, training the Specialists. He has a strong relationship with Sky as a father figure. At some point, he asks Sky to report to him about Bloom, her powers and everything happening to her that would affect her powers or journey for the truth.
After Farah traps a Burned One in the barn just outside the barrier, Silva is part of the task force used to transport it. However, Beatrix had released it and as such, the battalion was attacked. Everyone else died whilst Silva remained infected. Harvey tended to his infection, trying to stop the spread while the Burned One was being hunted down. Silva ordered Sky to wait and be patient, sure that the Battalion would be able to kill the Burned One, curing him. However, once the Battalion killed the wrong Burned One, Silva said his goodbyes, organising for Sky to have a good life once his gone. Bloom and Sky find the Burned one, and along with the help of Aisha, Terra and Musa, are almost able to defeat it. However, once it is revealed that it is not dead, Farah comes in and kills it, just in time to save Silva.
In the end, Silva was arrested by Luna for attempted murder of Andreas.
