Taken By The Wind is the second episode of the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga and the eighth overall episode of the show.

Synopsis[]

A new student's arrival surprises Terra, who's investigating what happened to Devin. Bloom learns more about Sky's childhood when they leave campus.

Plot[]

Initially, Terra appears to be in some serious danger, but it turns out that it’s just Flora. Not long after, Flora intoduces herself to the others as they all speculate on what could have happened to Devin. Unfortunately, due to Flora’s arrival, Stella is livid that “as a princess”, she has to share a room.

When Rosalind uses magic on Andreas, Beatrix comes to his rescue by telling Rosalind that Silva must have had help in his escape. Rosalind isn’t impressed by the announcement, however, as she had already figured that part out.

From afar, Silva and Sebastian help Bloom and the crew with their mission to bring Rosalind down.

In Andreas’s search for Silva, he wanders onto Sebastian’s place. Sebastian manages to hide Silva in a portal before Andrea sees. However, that doesn’t stop Andreas from smashing Sebastian’s face into a glass table. Andreas doesn't leave empty handed, as he spots a vital document, which it does provide him with some intel on Silva’s potential location.

At Alfea College, Rosalind checks on Devin, but there’s no improvement on him. It soon turns out that it was Professor Harvey who gave the tip-off about Sebastian as a way to protect his children. Sky tells Bloom that things can never go back to how they were because too much has changed, apparently. Bloom tries to reassure him that he isn’t defined by the actions of other people and that he needs to stop torturing himself. After they stop talking, they start making out and make love in the bed.

After much deliberation Terra ends up injecting Devin with an antidote, and when he regains consciousness, she tries to get him to identify the creature that attacked him. However, it all goes wrong, and he flees from them in a state of paranoia.

Meanwhile, Bloom and Sky hide from Andreas, although it’s nearly ruined when her phone vibrates. As they hide, they listen in on Andreas call with Rosalind. The couple then learn that Devin has woken up. Andreas then sets the house on fire, and they’re forced to take cover.

As Terra goes to help Devin, Rosalind enters and warns her to stand back. She claims that Devin must be confused, and he dies as a result of everyone's inaction.

Bloom and the others use the photographs of Rosalind’s book to try and figure out what is going on. They assume that Rosalind has been summoning some creatures to steal magic from others, such as Devin, to make herself more powerful.

In the end, Sky and Silva come face-to-face.
